Welcome! I've long had affinity with rainbows--all the colors inherent in white, visible when the sun hit rain or mist at a certain angle; beautiful, vivid, transient, fragile. I also like that rainbows are associated with leprechauns, pots of gold, and home. I wonder if it's possible to cultivate the rainbow in our lives instead of having to wait to catch one. Could we create a sense of home that required no material goods and traveled with us no matter where we went?
Shifting
by Joanna Celeste

I love that everyone is complex—
they all have a story
and that story can be rewritten
It can change with perception—
or time
I love that every day
is another opportunity
to find something new
discard something old
or fine-tune a quality
once considered hazardous
Quote of the Month

Irving Berlin
“Got no checkbooks, got no banks,
Still I’d like to express my thanks;
I’ve got the sun in the morning and the moon at night.”

Every month or two I will change up some elements of this site so you can have something new when you visit.
For now and the foreseeable future, I will not have a blog. I started writing one and it became a book, literally. :) While I was putting together this website, I started the next two poetry collections. I've got a lot of illustration work to do for the second.
I have a total of three poetry collections, an illustrated short story collection, and two nonfiction projects in the works. But my next six months are on something even more exciting--working on an audiobook and sequel for Smith-Obolensky Media. These aren't my writings but they're just as dear in my heart as my babies.
